Enchantments

I hate the Aion enchantment system, you either have good RNG or not.   Just spent 100 million on enchantments just to lose levels on two pieces of armor.  Ever wonder why NCSoft has lost subscribers and had to go free 2 play?

City of Heroes, farewell!

Farewell, from all of us at Paragon Studios
This morning we announced that Paragon Studios will be taking to the skies of City of Heroes for the last time.

In a realignment of company focus and publishing support, NCsoft has made the decision to close Paragon Studios. Effective immediately, all development on City of Heroes will cease and we will begin preparations to sunset the world's first, and best, Super Hero MMORPG before the end of the year. As part of this, all recurring subscription billing and Paragon Market purchasing will be discontinued effective immediately. We will have more information regarding a detailed timeline for the cessation of services and what you can expect in game in the coming weeks.

The team here at Paragon deserves special praise for all that we have accomplished over the last 5+ years. These developers are some of the most creative and talented people in the gaming industry. By now, we've all been given this news internally, but to anyone who may be reading this message after the fact; know that your hard work and dedication has not gone unappreciated or unnoticed. To any potential studios looking to grow your team; hire these people. You won't regret it.

To our Community,

Thank you. Thank you for your years of support. You've been with us every step of the way, sharing in our challenges, encouraging us to make City of Heroes better, more than everyone else thought it could be. We couldn't have come this far without you. I implore you all, focus on the good things of CoH and Paragon Studios. Don't dwell on the "how" or the "why", but rather join us in celebrating the legacy of an amazing partnership between the players and the development team.

Aion 3.0 Announcement!

Aion 3.0 Ascension coming April 11th!

The Grey Council

After one year of being in SunShine,  I have decided to leave the retired legion and start up The Grey Council.  It has been great fun and many thanks to all the members that helped me get better as a player.  Special thanks to Komori and Amphictyonis for giving me the chance to succeed.

General Quest Finished

Finally, got my General Quest completed today during the 8 pm Altar Siege! Special thanks to Badapple, Saito and Loonie for helping me complete this. Damn that was alot of asmos at Altar.

Enchantment Success Rate

Seems I didn't fair too badly with a 55% success rate.

 

Enchanting QQ

Got my mace to plus 10 finally.  Unfortunately the next 4 tries on another 2 pieces of gear failed and now I have lost 4 levels of enchantments to my gear. NCsoft fix this stupid frustrating aspect of the game!

Confront Asmodian Officers

Took me a week to get em!  Confront Asmodian Officers, got most of my 10 in Gelkmaros.

Thank you Comcast for such a reliable internet connection!  DCd (disconnected) while in an Arena of Chaos match that I was doing well in.  Sad at the loss of courage insignias.

What is odd, is that when I logged back on, I was at my bind point and not in the Academy.

Chantra Dredgion

Failed to get into Chantra Dredgion for the second night in a row. :(

Minga's Staff

Finally after all this time, I found Minga Bigeyes and he dropped his staff!  I was beginning to think Minga did exist.

Abyssal Splinter

Did a quick AS Shugo run and the alliance captain kicked someone who was already in the instance to make room for a cleric that was late getting in.  We had 13 members and the instance caps at the first 12.  That was flat out wrong what he did.  The cleric never came in.

Head Priest Nashuma

Rough day at the office for Valen.  Tried to kill Nashuma solo four times today.  The first attempt I got him down to 1/10 life but I tripped and fell.  The next two attempts got him to less then 25% before asmos ganked me.  Last time I just started when another asmo got me.

I did however returned the favor by training mobs in.

Altar of Avarice

Valen fell through the floor at Altar of Avarice and lost his Platinum Medal for the evening defense :(

Enchanting QQ

Enchanting still sucks in this game!  QQ.  Tired of this kinah sink.  If NcSoft truly wants to fix this game then they should look at this.
